Back in Time: A Visit to Brighton

My last post was on the ever so popular Twinwood festival. It was beyond exciting hence I couldn't wait to share it with you. However, before we travelled to Bedford to see the festival, my partner and I took Eleanor to see Brighton. I already have a post or two about this town. If you had ever been to see it, it will not come as a surprise why people keep going back to experience it yet again. There are so many faces to it; turn a corner and you are in a different world. Cafés, coffee and scent of flowers, music coming out of the little shops and an ever so versatile crowd of people...Brighton has captured my heart a long ago.
We took the bus in the morning as it is quite close. We couldn't have wished for more beautiful weather that day. My dear friend Eleanor Rebel and Yours truly.

The first place we went to was Bond street where of course, you can find two shops: Irregular choice and Collectif. I believe there was not one occasion that we went to Brighton and I missed visiting these stores.

Collectif had a massive 75% sale. I can compare the feeling of looking around the shop perhaps to stumbling upon a hidden cave full of treasure. The thrill! As much as I enjoyed looking through the racks, I was delighted to see how happy my friend was. There is no other joy that equals the pleasure of making someone happy.
When we went downstairs, a stunning dress caught my attention: the Red Dolores Dress. I asked the ladies in the shop to take it off the mannequin as it was the last one in my size. That then became the piece I wore to Twinwood festival a few days later. I also purchased the Dolores Doll Atomic Flamingo Dress.

By the end of shopping we got hungry and headed off to Jb's Diner. Along the way we looked around the town centre. Brighton, for me, is always mesmerizing.

The weather was so beautiful that we decided that it is a must to have a stroll along the seafront. The pier is a sight in itself; we headed that way next.

...and with your friend.

One of the most delightful things was that amongst all the music, noise and chatter of the funfair and the shops on the pier, people were relaxing and watching the sunset. We joined in, as it was delightful to stretch our legs after a whole afternoon's walk. We enjoyed the smell of the sea alongside a little breeze at times, watching the seagulls soaring above the glittering water. It was a perfect end to a perfect day.
